The glory of esoteric astrology is that it not only helps us in understanding the
individual and his problems, but that it also is a help to understand the nature
of society and how to lift up society as a whole to a higher level of consciousness.

to the traditional understanding of society and is based on:

1. The soul as the foundation of life. It is an approach to society based on esoteric psychology and an understanding that spiritual laws is behind all events in society.
2. The fact that everything is energy. This is the foundation of the science of esoteric astrology.

First Ray A New Society Based on Right Relations

If the soul and astrology is the foundation for an understanding of society, what is
then the key to the new society that has to replace the old order of materialism?
The keyword for the new society is right relations. Today we have many quarreling
political and religious groups in the world, and most of them believe that the solution
of the future will be that their own particular group gains the power over all the other
groups. This is an attitude of arrogance and separatism, the belief in our own superiority.
But the attitude of esoteric astrology is that the future world has to be based on cooperation, based on right relations. This means that we have to establish right relations between groups and nations, between individuals, and between the individual and the group. Right relations is an attitude when all parts involved are happy with the solution. It is not standardization, when one group forces its belief upon others. Right relations also includes the relation between the soul and outer self, between the world of spirit and the world of matter.

1. Unity and the sense of world-citizenship is essential for the new society. This is
opposite to an attitude of separatism, when man believes that the world consists of a
struggle between "us and them."

2. It is through the establishment of right relations between individuals and groups,
based on ethics, kindness and the building of character that the problems of humanity will be solved.

3. The soul is the essence of life. This includes an understanding of the spiritual laws that rule humanity.

4. A psychological and not materialistic approach to the world.

5. The importance of the individual and the rights of the individual.

Esoteric astrology for humanity and nations

There are many astrological energies that are important for humanity, energies that are
influencing our lives. Two of the most important energies are the Grand Year and the Seven Rays. For about 2000 years humanity is influenced by a certain sign, we are now leaving the influence of Pisces and entering the influence of Aquarius.

1. The transition from the Age of Pisces to the Age of Aquarius. For about two thousand years mankind has been under influence of the sign of Pisces. This sign has permeated all life, and Piscean qualities such as idealism, emotions, religion and devotion has colored much of human life. Today we are leaving the Age of Pisces and entering the Age of Aquarius, and this will bring much change to society and the whole planet. Aquarius is mental, scientific. Ideas for the new Age of Aquarius are unity, international cooperation, group-work, obedience to your inner authority and no blind belief in outer authorities.

2. The influence of the seven rays. (you can read about the seven rays in another part of this web-page). At every moment of history the seven rays are incarnating and going out of incantation. Each ray is sometimes stronger, sometimes weaker in its influence. Today the first ray of will is incarnated, the influence of this ray is the main reason to the collapse of the old society. The second and the third ray are today incarnated, they are stimulating the love (second ray) and intelligence (third ray) today. The fourth and fifth rays are out of incarnation and their effect is weak today. The seventh ray of order is today replacing the sixth ray of devotion.
